Baton visits British Virgin Islands

The Mascot for the Commonwealth Games 2010 Delhi, ‘Shera’, visited the British Virgin Islands on Day 143 of the Queens Baton relay, much to the delight of the children at Bregado Flax Educational Center in Virgin Gorda.

The 2010 Queens Baton Relay is the longest in history, visiting all 71 nations and territories of the Commonwealth, before finishing in India in time for the opening ceremony of the Delhi Commonwealth Games in October.

    Commonwealth Games Scotland has named 191 athletes (108 men and 83 women) selected for Team Scotland to compete in Delhi. The team size is similar to Manchester at 193 and is significantly bigger than the 166 selected for Melbourne.

Glasgow has been chosen to host the 20th Commonwealth Games in 2014
